The Heart and Soul Behind Karaoke with Darla

Hello! I'm Darla, the founder of Karaoke with Darla, and here's a bit about my journey.

Born and raised in New York, the city's vibrant energy and diverse musical culture instilled in me a deep love for singing and an appreciation for the joy it brings. My passion isn't just in singing myself, but in witnessing the magic that unfolds when others take the stage – seeing people let loose, have fun, and create lasting memories through music.

At Karaoke with Darla, we've built a community grounded in values that I hold dear: friendliness, fairness, and honesty. These are the pillars that guide us in creating a welcoming and genuine atmosphere for all who join us.

My path to this point has been quite the journey, after an extensive career in the freight industry, where I managed a team of 35 people, working 48 hours a week for 19.5 years. This experience honed my leadership and organizational skills, but I yearned for something that resonated more with my personal passions.

Transitioning from the high-pressure world of freight to the joyous realm of karaoke has been a dream come true. It’s a refreshing change to be part of something that offers a more leisurely and heartwarming dynamic. The shift from managing tight schedules and logistics to orchestrating nights filled with laughter, singing, and camaraderie has been nothing short of fulfilling.
